Christine was my only sister who passed away 14 years ago this November. The sad thing is I only
found this site because another girl who went to our primary school recently passed away, also
because of an RTA.
When we lost our Chris it was like the bottom of our world had fallen away, since then I'd like to
say it has got better but it doesn't get better, you just learn to 'live with it' so to speak. For
anyone that knew Christine would know that Chris accomplished more in her short 15 years of life
than most of us - myself included - do in a lifetime. Only weeks before she had appeared in
'Eastenders', only for the money she was paid to go towards the cost of her headstone. Christine
will always be that 15 year old with the confidence and drive to do and accomplish anything her
heart desired. Whenever life gets tough I will always find myself thinking 'What would Christine
do?', not that it makes things any easier, but I drawer strength and comfort from it. Another girl
from our primary school also lost her sister in an RTA many years ago although no doubt to her and
her family it will also seem like yesterday, I will send a link to her sister so Kate can add on her
own memorial xxx
Christine was in my year at secondary school, she was so happy and full of life and when she died it was like the heart had been ripped out of the red shirt year. Although I was never close friends with her, I often think of her and remember her lovely smiley face. I am sure she is the life and soul up in heaven. x
